[ET Net News Agency, 21 October 2026] The Hang Seng Index opened 271 points higher today at 24,139. It reached a high of 24,139, up 271 points, and a low of 23,620, down 247 points. The Hang Seng Index closed down 215 points, or 0.9%, at 23,651.
Southbound funds recorded a net outflow of HK$4.43b for the full day, increased by 157.4%. The top stocks by net Southbound buying were YOFC (06869), CNOOC (00883) and GENSCRIPT B-1K (01548) in that order. The top stocks by net selling were TENCENT (00700), CHINA MOBILE (00941) and BABA-W (09988) in that order.
Mainboard turnover decreased by 7.3% to nearly HK$176.6b. Among this, Stock Connect turnover exceeded HK$70.7b, accounting for 40% of the total turnover.
