The Hang Seng Index now rose 498 points, or 2.1% to 24,418; with market turnover of 36.9b; the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index now rose 139 points, or 1.7% to 8,197; the Hang Seng TECH Index now rose 121 points, or 3.1% to 4,057.
BABA-W (09988) now rose HK$4.9, or 4.9% to HK$105.5, with turnover of HK$1.72b; TENCENT (00700) rose HK$16.8, or 4.2% to HK$418.4, with turnover of HK$2.75b; HSBC HOLDINGS (00005) rose HK$4.48, or 3.3% to HK$140.1, with turnover of HK$291.51m. (ed)
