[ET Net News Agency, 5 November 2026] The Hang Seng Index opened 397 points higher today at 24,316. It reached a high of 24,871, up 952 points, and a low of 24,281, up 362 points. The Hang Seng Index closed up 877 points, or 3.7%, at 24,796.
Southbound funds recorded a net outflow of HK$21.33b for the full day, increased by 550.8%. The top stocks by net Southbound buying were KB LAMINATES (01888), YOFC (06869) and SMIC (00981) in that order. The top stocks by net selling were TRACKER FUND (02800), CSOP HS TECH (03033) and XIAOMI-W (01810) in that order.
Mainboard turnover increased by 50.6% to nearly HK$356.67b. Among this, Stock Connect turnover exceeded HK$141.2b, accounting for 39.6% of the total turnover.
