[ET Net News Agency, 16 March 2018] The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (00045) said its
Peninsula hotels occupancy in Hong Kong for the fourth quarter of 2017 rose 3 percentage
points year-on-year to 84%.
Hotel occupancy in other Asian regions, and United States of America and Europe was both
70%, a decrease of 2 percentage points and 5 percentage points from the same period last
year.
Total rooms revenue / Rooms available (RevPAR) in Hong Kong amounted to HK$4,664 in the
fourth quarter of 2017, an increase of 12.5% over the same period last year. RevPAR in
other Asian countries, and United States of America and Europe amounted to HK$2,040 and
HK$4,158, up 4.2% and down 2% year-on-year. (HL)
