[ET Net News Agency, 5 January 2018] Beijing Enterprises Water (00371) said it agreed
to acquire from BMEI Co., Ltd. 80% equity interest in Yan Ji Jing Cheng Environmental Co.,
Ltd. at Rmb54.14 million.
Yan Ji is principally engaged in municipal sewage treatment and reclaimed water
treatment.
Although the Group at present has no project that has enough scale and influence in
Jilin province, it is feasible to put Yan Ji as its first demonstration-scale project in
Jilin province. The acquisition can open the channel of cooperation with the municipal
government of Yanji city and lay a foundation for exploring other projects in Jilin
province.
BMEI is an associate of Beijing Enterprises Holdings (00392), which is a controlling
shareholder of Beijing Enterprises Water. (HL)
