China Telecom (00728) 4G net adds slow to 5.86m in April

[ET Net News Agency, 21 May 2018] China Telecom (00728) said it added 5.86 million 4G
subscribers in April, slowing pace from 6.93 million in the previous month, bringing the
total number of 4G subscribers to 206.12 million by the end of last month.
On wireline broadband business, China Telecom added 1 million customers in April, down
from 1.75 million in the previous month, with the total number of wireline broadband
subscribers of 138.29 million.
For access lines in services, there was a reduction of 670,000 subscribers in April,
with the total number of 120.21 million.
By the end of April, the number of mobile subscribers reached 270.87 million, with a net
increase of 5.57 million during the month. (HL)
