China Unicom (00762) October 4G net adds slow to 5.1m

[ET Net News Agency, 20 November 2017] China Unicom (00762) said it added 5.103 million
of 4G subscribers in October, with the pace slowing from 7.563 million in September,
bringing the aggregate number of 4G subscribers to 165.387 million by the end of last
month.
The mobile operator added 2.37 million mobile billing subscribers in October, down from
3.823 million in September, with the total number of mobile billing subscribers of 279.236
million.
On fixed line business, there were reductions of 491,000 of local access subscribers and
additions of 60,000 of fixed-line broadband subscribers in October, with the total
customer size reaching 61.269 million and 77.466 million by the end of last month. (HL)
