[ET Net News Agency, 19 March 2018] China Literature Limited (00772) said its profit
attributable to equity holders for the year ended 31 December 2017 surged 14.2 times
year-on-year to Rmb556 million.
Basic and diluted earnings per share were Rmb0.74 and Rmb0.72.
Revenues amounted to Rmb4,095 million, an increase of 60.2% from a year earlier.
Gross profit grew 96.8% to Rmb2,075 million. The gross margin increased from 41.3% in
2016 to 50.7% in 2017, primarily as a result of the shift of business towards online
reading and intellectual property operations, our efficient cost control measures as well
as increased economies of scale.
Average monthly active users (MAUs) for the year 2017 increased 12.7% year-over-year to
191.5 million, of which 179.4 million on mobile and 12.1 million on PCs. Over the same
period, China Literature had 11.1 million average monthly paying users (MPUs), an increase
of 33.7% from 8.3 million in 2016.
