[ET Net News Agency, 25 May 2018] China Communications Construction Company (CCCC)
(01800) said it received an order of the Governor in Council under the Investment Canada
Act directing CCCC not to implement the investment.
As the conditions precedent under the Arrangement Agreement could not be fulfilled, the
proposed acquisition of all shares of Aecon Group Inc. has been terminated.
Aecon is a leading provider of construction services listed on the Toronto Stock
Exchange under the symbol ARE.
In the future, CCCC will continue to explore opportunities in business cooperations in
its pursuit of new businesses and new markets that will contribute to its globalization.
