[ET Net News Agency, 12 March 2021] HSBC Global Research lifted its target price for
China Unicom (00762) to HK$5.5 from HK$5.4 and maintained its "hold" rating.
The research house said Unicom set a target of 15% of service revenues from Industry
Internet services (data centers, cloud, IT services, Internet of Things) three years ago
and met that in 2020, reporting 15.5%.
HSBC expects wireless ARPU of RMB70 to decline this year as lower-value customers move
onto the new network. It lifted its 2021/22 EBITDA estimates by 2% and 3.5% respectively,
on slightly higher revenues and lower interconnect costs. This resulted in a cut of its
2021 net income forecast of 7.8%. (KL)
