[ET Net News Agency, 16 November 2017] China Southern Airlines (01055) said it carried
about 11.03 million passengers in October, an increase of 7.92% year-on-year and 5.21%
month-on-month.
For the first ten months of 2017, the accumulated number of passengers carried amounted
to about 105 million, up 9.42% year-on-year.
Passenger capacity (measured by available seat kilometres (ASK)) of the Group rose 9.87%
in October as compared to the same period last year. The passenger load factor was 82%,
representing an increase of 0.43 percentage point as compared to the same period last
year.
In terms of cargo operations, in October, cargo capacity (measured by available tonne
kilometers (ATK) - Cargo and Mail) grew 6.89% year-on-year. Cargo and mail traffic
(measured by revenue tonne kilometres (RTK) - Cargo and Mail) picked up 6.8% year-on-year.
The cargo load factor was 54.14%, representing a decrease of 0.04 percentage point as
compared to the same period last year. (HL)
