[ET Net News Agency, 22 March 2018] WuXi Biologics (02269) said it agreed to place 57
million new shares at HK$70 per share, representing a discount of about 6.73% to the
closing price of HK$75.05.
The placing shares represent around 4.66% of the enlarged issued share capital of WuXi
Biologics.
The estimated net proceeds of about HK$3,966.1 million will be used to fund the future
expansion of the Group and, in particular, the capital requirements to increase its
laboratory and manufacturing capacity by adding a number of laboratory and manufacturing
facilities over the next few years to satisfy the strong demand from the customers of the
Group.
WuXi Biologics has been informed by one of the controlling shareholders, G&C VII
Limited, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of New WuXi ESOP L.P., that it agreed to place
10 million shares at HK$70 apiece, representing about 0.86% of the issued share capital of
WuXi Biologics. (HL)
