[ET Net News Agency, 12 June 2014] Alltronics (00833) said it expects to record a
significant net loss attributable to owners for the six months ending 30 June 2014, as
compared with a net profit of about HK$15.5 million for the corresponding period in 2013.
While the operating results of the Group's core electronic products business for the six
months ending 30 June 2014 are not expected to fluctuate significantly as compared with
that for the corresponding period in 2013, the Board expects that, due to the depreciation
in Renminbi against United State dollars, there may be a significant fair value loss on
derivative financial instruments on outstanding forward foreign exchange contracts at 30
June 2014, which may exceed the operating results of the Group, resulting in a significant
net loss for the period under review.
Its interim results announcement is expected to be published around end of August. (HL)
