[ET Net News Agency, 15 July 2021] China International Marine Containers (Group) Co.,
Ltd. (02039) said the group expects the consolidated net profit attributable to
shareholders and other equity holders of the company for the six months ended 30 June 2021
will achieve a turnaround from loss to profit as compared with the corresponding period of
last year.
In the corresponding period of last year, all business segments of the group were
affected by the global spread of the novel coronavirus epidemic and fluctuations in the
international economy and trade activities, resulting in a loss in the group's results in
the first half of last year.
In the first half of this year, the global economy was showing an accelerated recovery,
and international trade was maintaining a high level of prosperity with market demand for
containers continuously at a relatively high level. In the first half of this year, the
group's container manufacturing business realised rising volumes and prices, with a
significant increase in results as compared with the same period of the previous year.
