[ET Net News Agency, 21 September 2018] S&P Global Ratings said today that it raised
its long-term issuer rating on CK Hutchison Holdings Ltd. (00001) to 'A' from 'A-'. The
outlook is stable.
At the same time, the credit rating agency raised the issue rating on senior unsecured
debt that CK Hutchison guarantees to 'A' from 'A-'. S&P also raised its rating on the
subordinated perpetual securities guaranteed by the group to 'BBB+' from 'BBB'.
S&P said its upgrade on CK Hutchison reflects its view that the company is likely to
improve its financial leverage in the next 12-24 months through a combination of prudent
financial management, asset monetization, and consistent earnings growth.
It thinks the company has strong financial flexibility and a track record of active
management to support its credit metrics. (KL)
