East Kowloon Cultural Centre | Ping Pong Boys

Description

"Table tennis is a sport that exists only in 'a single moment'!"

A surprising showdown unfolds in the university scene—former prodigy Pan Haode returns to challenge Hong Kong team member Zhang Li, determined to turn around his life of inadequacy! As the passionate newcomer Ouyang Yiheng appears, the final year of university becomes turbulent, even awakening the table tennis fanatic soul of his friend Chan Kamming! Daily life flies by, just like the rapid back-and-forth of a ping pong ball—before you know it, the crucial moment has arrived. Can the four individuals crossing paths on the court seize that fleeting moment of impact and transcend the boundaries of life?

'Ping Pong Boys' has been honed for three years, initially invited by the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre and later self-produced for a reading performance, both receiving widespread acclaim. In 2026, the play is honored with support from the Hong Kong Table Tennis Association and the Hong Kong representative team, combining theatrical technology to journey with audiences through this uncertain era, seeking the ultimate move to ground ourselves in the present and inspire the future.
