Description

The annual long-distance running event, "RAC Distance Running Championship 2026," organized by Runners Athletic Club, will be grandly held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Sha Tin Pak Shek Kok Park (Science Park High Silver Conference Center "Golden Egg" landmark)! Public registration is now officially open. Participants who successfully register by or before September 15, 2026, will enjoy an early bird discount of HK$30 per person. Limited slots available; registration closes once full.

Event Highlights

·         ★ Star Ambassador cheering on-site with child in亲子组: The event proudly invites star ambassador—"Spider Woman" Lisa Cheng Zheng Lisha! As a former Hong Kong bodybuilding and sport climbing representative and triathlete, Lisa will cheer on-site, accompanying everyone to chase PBs along the Pak Shek Kok seaside course! Additionally, Lisa will personally participate in the 1.5km "亲子组" with her son, promoting healthy family running fun hand-in-hand!

·         ★ Internet celebrity Brother Fok passionately competing, aiming to become a running KOL: Internet celebrity Brother Fok (Fok Chun-bong) will also compete in the RAC Distance Running Championship! Brother Fok is currently training hard to break his limits and become a new KOL in the running community, adding more passion and joy to the event!

·         ★ Uniting warm charitable power: Beyond challenging speed, HK$20 from each runner's registration fee will be directly donated to the beneficiary organization "Kwong Chi Wai." Kwong Chi Wai adheres to the principles of "supporting the intellectually disabled" and "prioritizing children's needs," striving to provide quality education, training, and empowerment opportunities for intellectually disabled individuals and their families, helping them realize their potential and integrate into society. Every runner stepping onto the course contributes positively to society with every step!

·         ★ One of Hong Kong's flattest PB-breaking golden courses, the top choice for runners aiming for best performance: The event is specially located at the Science Park seaside track, featuring an extremely flat and straight surface. The 10km race starts from Sha Tin Pak Shek Kok Park, runs straight along the seaside track to Da Wang Ye Temple, then returns the same way. The beautiful sea view combined with the flat course provides an ideal platform for runners aiming to break their Personal Best (PB).

·         ★ Diverse race categories covering all age groups and team challenges:
• 10km Individual / Team Cup: Various age categories (16 to 60+ years); "Team Cup" consists of teams of 3 (men's and women's categories), calculating total team time, testing both individual ability and team synergy (team members' results can also compete for individual awards).
• 5km Individual: Suitable for runners who enjoy medium-distance speed sprints.
• 1.5km Colorful Group: Designed for young runners aged 12 to 16, offering a relaxed taste of competitive atmosphere.
• 1.5km Parent-Child Group: One adult aged 18 or above accompanied by one child aged 6 to 12, experiencing running fun hand-in-hand. (Star ambassador Lisa Cheng Zheng Lisha will also participate in this category with her son!)
