Born in İzmir, Türkiye, Ayşegül Veryeri draws inspiration from the remarkable civilizations of the Aegean. She is deeply moved and captivated by the simple forms created thousands of years ago, which she regards as expressions of art.

For her works, she prefers to apply slips and oxides over traditional glaze to create unique textures, while continuing to explore alternative firing techniques.
