The first permanent exhibition hall of Visionairs in Asia is officially opened! The first exhibition "Rebirth from the Fire - Notre Dame de Paris Augmented Reality Immersive Experience Exhibition" makes a shocking debut

Visionairs (Visionairs), a pioneering art space in French culture and education, is pleased to announce today the grand opening of its first exhibition "Rebirth from the Fire - Notre Dame Cathedral Augmented Reality Immersive Experience Exhibition" located in the permanent exhibition hall of the West Kowloon Cultural District! The exhibition is open to the public from now until March 7, 2025. By combining augmented reality (AR) technology with the exhibition of precious cultural relics, it presents visitors with an immersive experiential journey through the 860-year glorious history of Notre Dame de Paris. . The exhibition was created by Histoovery, a digital cultural heritage expert, in collaboration with the Notre Dame Reconstruction Committee and with the full support of L'Oréal Group.

With advanced AR technology, viewers feel as if they are in a time tunnel, experiencing every major historical moment of Notre Dame from its construction in the 12th century to the present, witnessing its timeless magnificence, as well as its reconstruction process after the fire in 2019. The exhibition specially uses the innovative HistoPad™ touch tablet computer developed by Histoovery, allowing visitors to travel through 20 different eras in an immersive time and space portal. The device supports 13 languages, including English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

This exhibition invites visitors to embark on an interactive journey suitable for all ages, leading them to relive many historical milestones of Notre Dame, such as the lavish wedding of King Henri IV and the French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. The unparalleled coronation ceremony and the construction of the breathtaking 19th-century Notre Dame spire designed by Viollet-le-Duc. The exhibition also showcases centuries-old architectural marvels and exquisite craftsmanship, as well as modern restoration projects. Highlights of the exhibition include: a one-to-one replica of the gargoyle statue, projections and sculptures of the rose window that survived the fire, and a surround sound experience that recreates the sounds of Notre Dame’s organ and bells. Family visitors can also participate in a series of fun activities, such as using the HistoPadTM’s selfie function and virtual treasure hunts, to increase the interactive experience of the visit.
