Tsingtao Brewery (00168) said its net profit attributable to shareholders for the six months ended 30 June 2013 rose 38.46% year-on-year to Rmb1.39 billion.
The basic and diluted earnings per share were Rmb1.032.
The revenue was Rmb14.97 billion, an increase of 11.68% from a year earlier. Sales volume reached 45.8 million hl in aggregate, an increase of 9.62% from the corresponding period in previous year.
Tsingtao Brewery achieved a much higher growth rate of sales volume than the average rate of the industry, and a higher growth rate of net profits than that of the revenues while a higher growth rate of revenues than that of the sales volume by actively exploring the domestic mid-and-high-end markets and adjusting the product mix.
No interim dividend will be distributed.
