Hydoo International (01396) said its Chairman Wong Choihing is currently assisting the relevant authorities in the People's Republic of China in providing certain information after losing contact with him since early July.
The authorities did not specify whether the information required to be provided by Wong is related to the business operations of the Group. At present, neither Hydoo, nor any of the directors or senior management members of the company, has been required to assist in providing information by the authorities. The company is making attempts to seek more information regarding Wong's situation (including whether the information required to be provided by Wong relates to the business operations of the Group) from the authorities.
Hydoo believes the new development has not created any material adverse impact on the daily business operations of the Group at this stage.
Trading in shares of Hydoo will be resumed this morning.
