HK stocks opened sharply lower on Thursday after the Fed kept its interest rate steady and said it would be "patient" in making decision of when to raise rate. The Dow also slid nearly 200 points overnight.
The Hang Seng Index opened down 216 points to 24,645. The H-share index also fell 166 points to 11,797.
Cheung Kong (00001) edged down 0.9% to HK$144. SHKP (00016) inched up 0.1% to HK$128. HSBC (00005) fell 0.7% to HK$72.5. AIA (01299) dipped 1.2% to HK$45.8.
