The Land Registry said today the number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in February was 8,060, a decrease of 3% compared with January but up 102.2% year-on-year.
The 12-month moving average for February was 7,338, 4.8% above the 12-month moving average for January and 41.2% above that for the same month last year.
The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements in February was HK$47.6 billion, a decrease of 11.3% month-on-month but an increase of 83.5% year-on-year.
Among the sale and purchase agreements, 6,027 were for residential units, down 6% compared with January but up 90.8% from a year earlier. The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements in respect of residential units was HK$40.9 billion, down 5.5% month-on-month but an increase of 93.8% year-on-year.
