Kingsoft (03888) said its profit attributable to owners of the parent for the three months ended 31 March 2017 rose 78.2% year-on-year and dropped 8.7% quarter-on-quarter to Rmb238 million.
Basic and diluted earnings per share were Rmb0.18.
Revenue amounted to Rmb1,213 million, an increase of 82% year-on-year and a decrease of 6% quarter-on-quarter.
Gross profit for the first quarter of 2017 increased 48% year-on-year and decreased 19% quarter-on-quarter to Rmb704 million. The Group's gross profit margin decreased by 13 percentage points year-over-year and 9 percentage points quarter-over-quarter to 58%, which is a result of change in sales mix, reflecting fast growth in cloud services.
