HK stocks opened higher on Thursday following the climb of US equity markets overnight, despite Moody's downgraded Hong Kong's rating to Aa2 from Aa1 and changes outlook to stable from negative. The Hang Seng Index opened up 82 points to 25,511. The H-share index rose 50 points to 10,441.
HSBC (00005) rose 0.74% to HK$67.9. China Mobile (00941) gained 0.64% to HK$86.85. Tencent (00700) dipped 0.07% to HK$273.4. HKEx (00388) slid 0.41% to HK$194.1.
