BAIC Motor (01958) said its net profit attributable to owners of the parent for the first nine months of 2016 rose 74.2% year-on-year to Rmb3,924 million.
Total operating income amounted to Rmb15,718 million, an increase of 116.7% from a year earlier.
Daimler AG, which holds 10.1% equity interest in BAIC Motor, has published the financial statements for the third quarter ended 30 September 2016. The equity result of BAIC Motor amounted to EUR21 million for the third quarter of 2016, up 162.5% year-on-year. The equity result for the first three quarters of 2016 reported a loss of EUR197 million, as compared to the profit of EUR73 million for the same period last year.
