GCL New Energy (00451) said it reported a profit attributable to owners of HK$39.91 million for the six months ended 30 September 2014, as compared to the loss of HK$9.03 million for the same period in 2013.
Its basic and diluted earnings per share were HK0.33 cents
The revenue was HK$800 million, a decrease of 4.6% from a year earlier.
The group's gross margin dropped to 7.2% from 9.5%. During the period under review, all revenue and gross profit were contributed by the printed circuit board business. Decreased in gross margin was mainly due to the increase in labour and other production costs.
No interim dividend will be distributed.
