CFA Institute reported that 44% of the 47,175 candidates that took the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I exam in December 2014 have passed.
In June and December of 2014 a combined total number of more than 94,000 candidates sat for Level I of the CFA Program, a globally recognized, graduate level curriculum that links theory and practice with real-world investment analysis, said the global association of investment professionals.
Asia Pacific continued to be the largest source of candidates, accounting for 46% of all candidates in the December 2014 exam. Globally, China had the second-largest number of exam takers, with 8,621 candidates (the United States leads with 10,862 candidates) and India, third with 4,070 candidates. Aside from China and India, the largest number of candidates in Asia Pacific came from Hong Kong (1,903), Singapore (1,508) and South Korea (1,203).
