Orient Overseas (International) Limited (OOIL) said its total volumes for the fourth quarter of 2014 dropped 2.6% year-on-year to 1.36 million TEU. Total revenues dipped 0.2% to US$1,398.9 million. Loadable capacity decreased 1.3%. The overall load factor was 1% lower than the same period in 2013. Overall average revenue per TEU rose 2.5% compared to the fourth quarter of last year.
For the full year of 2014, total volumes grew 5.5% over the same period last year to 5.59 million TEU and total revenues recorded a 3.5% growth to US$5,807.4 million. Loadable capacity increased 1.4%. The overall load factor was 3% higher than the same period in 2013. Overall average revenue per TEU fell 1.9% compared to the same period last year.
