The Hong Kong Monetary Authority said today the composite interest rate, which is a measure of the average cost of funds of banks, decreased by 3 basis points to 0.33% at the end of March 2015, from 0.36% at the end of February 2015.
The decline in the composite interest rate in March reflected decreases in the weighted funding cost for both deposits and interbank funds.
