HK blue chips opened firmer on Tuesday amid the debate of the US presidential candidates. The Hang Seng Index opened up 38 points to 23,356. The H-share index fell 12 points to 9,617.
Market heavyweights were mixed. HSBC (00005) dipped 0.3% to HK$57.5. China Mobile (00941) fell 1.3% to HK$94. Tencent (00700) put on 0.9% to HK$215. HKEx (00388) edged up 0.5% to HK$204.
