SITC International (01308) said revenue of the Group rose 4% year-on-year for the three months ended 31 March 2017 to US$303.6 million.
The Group's total shipping volume reached 599,684 TEU for the first quarter of 2017, an increase of about 15.7% over the same period last year. The Group's average freight rate excluding slot exchange fee income for the three months ended 31 March 2017 amounted to US$383.4 per TEU, a decrease of 5.3% over the corresponding period in year 2016. Further, the total volume from the Group's freight forwarding grew 12.7% year-on-year to 431,193 TEU.
