China Gas (00384) said its profit attributable to owners for the year ended 31 March 2017 rose 82.5% year-on-year HK$4,148 million.
Basic and diluted earnings per share were HK84.51 cents.
Revenue amounted to HK$31,993 million, an increase of 8.5% from a year earlier. During the financial year, the Group's income from natural gas sales was HK$13,778.6 million, representing a year-on-year increase of about 6%.
Overall gross profit margin rose to 26.2% from 24.5%.
The proposed final dividend is HK20 cents per share.
