Cafe de Coral (00341) said its profit attributable to shareholders for the year ended 31 March 2017 dropped 2.7% year-on-year to HK$504 million.
If excluding certain items which are non-operating and non-recurring in nature as shown below, the adjusted net profit increased 1.9% to HK$503.4 million.
Basic and diluted earnings per share were HK$0.87.
Revenue amounted to HK$7,895 million, an increase of 4.3% from a year earlier, attributable to network expansion and brand portfolio enhancement.
Gross profit margin decreased to 13.4% from 13.8%, primarily due to the increase in manpower expenses arising from enhancement of compensation packages.
The proposed final dividend is HK63 cents (2016: HK63 cents) per share, payable on 26 September 2017.
