COSCO SHIPPING International (00517) said its profit attributable to equity holders for the year ended 31 December 2017 rose 50.35% year-on-year to HK$357 million.
Basic earnings per share were HK23.26 cents.
Revenue amounted to HK$8,786 million, an increase of 18.25% from a year earlier.
Gross profit grew 15.22% year-on-year to HK$627 million. Overall average gross profit margin dropped to 7.1% from 7.3%. The increase in overall gross profit was mainly attributable to increase in income from ship trading agency, coatings and marine equipment and spare parts businesses.
The proposed final dividend is HK12 cents (2016: HK5.5 cents and special dividend of HK5 cents) per share, payable on 28 June.
