Prudential (PRU) (02378) said its new business profit for the first nine months of 2014 rose 17.3% year-on-year at constant exchange rates to GBP1,514 million.
Annual premium equivalent (APE) sales amounted to GBP3,427 million, an increase of 14% from a year earlier.
In Asia, new business profit increased by 15% to GBP775 million, driven by APE sales growth of 14%.
For the third quarter of 2014, new business profit grew 5.5% year-on-year to GBP499 million. APE sales grew 9% to GBP1,127 million.
