Universal Health (02211) said its profit attributable to owners for the six months ended 30 June 2016 dropped 64.9% year-on-year to Rmb85.84 million.
Basic and diluted earnings per share were Rmb4.12 cents.
The revenue was Rmb1,904 million, a decrease of 25.9% from a year earlier.
Gross profit dropped 29.4% year-on-year to Rmb519.8 million. Overall gross profit margin decreased from 28.6% to 27.3%. The decrease in gross profit margin was mainly due to the change of product mix and drop in the gross margin of high-margin products.
No interim dividend will be distributed.
