<ET Net News Agency, 30 August 2011> China Rare Earth (00769) said its profit
attributable to owners of the company surged 4.07 times year-on-year to HK$312 million for
the six months ended 30 June 2011.
Its basic and diluted earnings per share were HK18.64 cents and HK18.63 cents.
The company attributed the remarkable growth of profit to vigorous demand from both
domestic and overseas markets for rare earth materials in 2011.
The turnover was HK$1.03 billion, an increase of 71.7% from a year earlier.
No interim dividend will be distributed.
