Xinyi Solar (00968) said its profit attributable to equity holders for the six months ended 30 June 2014 surged 149.7% year-on-year to HK$200 million.
Its basic and diluted earnings per share were HK3.51 cents.
The revenue was HK$994 million, an increase of 15.7% from a year earlier.
Overall gross margin increased to 33.7% from 25.9% in the same period last year, mainly due to the increase in average selling prices and improved cost efficiency as well as a change in product mix.
The proposed interim dividend is HK1.6 cents (2013: nil) per share, payable on or before 8 September.
