VPower Group (01608) said yesterday that it has won four projects in Myanmar. It expects all the projects to commence commercial operation in the first half of 2020.
Despite not knowing the company's attributable stake in these new projects, HSBC Global Research estimated that capacity growth will likely be significant compared with the existing 730MW of investment, building and operating (IBO) projects under operation as at June.
This means VPower has already met 75% of its capacity addition target of 1,200MW that was set out for the medium term, it added. HSBC thinks that VPower's growth trajectory is assured.
It maintained its "buy" rating on the company, with an unchanged target price of HK$3.2.
