Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$143.09 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$19.46 billion, or 13.6% of the market's turnover. There were 643 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.82 billion and HK$725.35 million, or 24.76% and 3.73% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 61.63% and 8.79% of respective stock's turnover.
KUAISHOU-W (01024) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$717.73 million and HK$649 million of short sales, accounting for 3.69% and 3.33% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 25.93% and 13.72% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.04, or 0.21%, to HK$19.23. TENCENT ended up HK$3.6, or 0.95%, to HK$381.8. KUAISHOU-W rose HK$0.4, or 0.7% to HK$57.5. MEITUAN-W declined by HK$0.4, or 0.33%, to HK$121.9.
