CK Asset Holdings (01113) said it has agreed to buy Greene King plc at a consideration of GBP2.7 billion (equivalent to approximately HK$25.2 billion).
Under the terms of the acquisition, upon the scheme becoming effective, a cash consideration of 850 pence (equivalent to approximately HK$80.8) per target share will be paid to target shareholders.
Greene King plc is the United Kingdom's leading integrated brewer and pub retailer operating over 2,700 pubs, restaurants and hotels across England, Wales and Scotland. Its three main trading divisions are "Pub Company", "Pub Partners" and "Brewing & Brands".
